San Diego Zoo - Life in Canopy
The first in a series of three, this project was based on the Life in Canopy art for the Children’s Zoo. The original art sent in was large, highly detailed and colorful raster. The process involved shrinking that image to fit onto an 4.0” wide by 3.5” tall print area as well reducing it down to one singular color - all while meeting our printing standards.
A side by side comparison of the original, beautiful art sent by San Diego Zoo and the final art for the Silipint cup. A lot of the textures had to be removed because they could not be recreated in a way that allowed us to print as is. Because this art was created in a portrait orientation, the maximum height on the pint is hit before the width. Instead of a wrap like the previous two projects, this one ended up being a 1-side. This art was originally 36” wide by 50” high. All-in-all, this took about six hours to simplify.
